Lessons learned

DON'T go to UCLA. You know you were thinking about it - but don't. Before UCLA, I was a flying high A-in the sky, win the awards kind of student. Now I'm "not UCLA caliber". I keep talking to the professors to discover what I should be doing. They don't return phone calls. They ignore emails. The big solution to "problem students" at UCLA is to make life so miserable for them that they drop out.

DON'T GO TO UCLA.

There. I feel better now. I'm so stressed by the open disregard that I keep messing up the details. Today, I handed in a draft by accident rather than the final assignment. And because I'm a perfectionist, I kept editing the final copy. So, when the realization came, I handed in the final - but the freakin' professor did that whole "show edits" thing and discovered an edit past the time due and now....

DON'T GO TO UCLA.

Thank heavens for YouTube. I had to stop crying when I saw this gem on my iPod today.
