He's Just in the Mood to Run in the Nude

The Philosopher is standing buck naked watching Harry Potter. If he weren't 6, I'd say we were having a Daniel Radcliffe moment....

We've introduced him to Harry Potter and the boy is obsessed to say the least. It's all he talks about...thinks about...reads about...cares about....and it just makes me love him more. The other night, we played Godric's Hollow. He was Voldemort - should we worry? - and I was Lilly Potter. We ran into a major complication as the game began, however. Diva was called upon to provide a doll, but she pitched a fit when she learned Harry was a girl. To quote: "I wouldn't have a girl baby!" So, we compromised....Harry was 'sleeping' while the baby was his little sister Lemody (don't ask) and Diva was another of his sisters "who left magic to teach princess classes!"

The battle was fierce. In the end, the kids collapsed on the couch while I scrambled from my crumpled and dead position on the floor after screaming a quite convincing, "Haaaaaaarrrrryyyyyy."

The Philosopher asked, "Remember that date you went on?"

I nodded.

He smiled. "I'll bet that guy liked you a whole lot cuz you're the bestest at Harry Potter."

Ah, kiddo. You're the best. If only you were in charge of the world...
