Did a week really fly by? This week was....well, it was. And now it's....well, it's done. So, here's a few insights from the grab bag.
Discovery: When I'm in an emotionally intense situation, my hands go freezing cold and shake. I go all little old grandma - not very intimidating.
Confusion: Yeah. I got some of that.
Rant: See prior entries this week. No need to recap.
Decision: On hold. All decisions on hold, except for....
Abandoned love: Straight hair. It was too hard to maintain and looked awful all the time. All hail the return of the curly-locked Glo!
New love: Being single. Thank God I'm not very pretty. How do you hotties do it?!
Enduring love: The Golden Globes. It's eternal.
Mrs. Charlie wisdom of the week: It's obnoxious at how much power men hold, and 99% of them don't even know, but the 1% who do..........grrrrrr they take such advantage.
Cue the independent woman with issues theme song:
(Sinead O'Connor No Man's Woman)
I don't wanna be no man's woman. It don't make me happy this mantrolling. Thank God you done to me so I become no man's woman...
Cuz I'm tired of it. And I'm so scared of it. That I'll never trust again. Cuz a man can fake you. Take your soul and make you miserable, in so much pain.
I don't wanna be no man's woman. I've other work I want to get done. I haven't travelled this far to become no man's woman.
No man's woman.
Disclaimer: None of this reflects on any and all blogbuddies. You guys rock. You keep me hoping. So, no "Glo the Guy-hater" crap, ok? It's been a...week.
So - Glo out. She's gonna rock out with her nephew this weekend and basically just be happy-go-lucky her with newly restored curly hair.
But before I go....a little Omarrific fun....that involves some very unfortunate news for yours truly....see if you can figure it out.

As provider of fitting theme song at crucial moment, I would just like to say - Go me.
And go Glo.
I see the news report and the Glo-wise impact seems plain as day. Just guessing though, and keeping it to myself of course.
Have a philosofabulous weekend!
Of course this week has flown by...you are cutting it short. It's only thursday silly.
They're cutting out the 25th?! I'm guessing it's Omar's birthday, right? You know what's sad though, that's the day of my therapy appointment (you're not the only one who's had a bad week, so I feel for you)... What does this mean?! The 25th is just gone?! So baffling!
It's okay to man-hate sometimes, if you have a good reason.
Ouch. Mable - that hurts. My miscalculation gave me another 24 hours!
I've got my own guesses but I'll only reveal it once the right answer comes out and mine corresponds to it.
if not, I'll lie.
we blog buddies do rock. and so do you. :-D
Yes, I'm so sorry for Omar.
Not that I don't enjoy your sympathy, but it's not MY birthday on the 25th.
I can't believe Omar stole my thunder.
Further proof that 25 January is the most important day of the year. I knew it already, of course, that being Beloved's and my anniversary.
Screw Nasa. We'll take the damn day anyway.
So, does that make Glo about to turn 29? It all makes sense now, astrologically speaking. Darlin, all the complexities of the past year? You've been experiencing the dread Saturn Return. You have another difficult year ahead, after which life will be exponentially more fabulous. It's all worth it.
Y'know. If you believe in that crap. ;)
you will let us know any words of wisdom your nephew has for us right?
Hope you a had a great weekend! or wait, you still have sunday where you are. I hate Sunday nights :(
Yay for the curly hair. Keeping it straight is hardwork...
Sorry Glo. Sometimes (most of the time) I can be really inept. Erm, I blame the astrological phenomenon that Nasa is railing on about. Also, Tag! You're it! You have to do a meme on five weird things about yourself, and then spread the joy to five other people...
