So, time for y'all to opine (on this placeholder post) before I write up an interview with my personal philosopher.
Which is worse?
To be told you have an "interesting" face.....
or
To be told you're an "all-the-way" kind of girl?
Just so's you know, I have friendships riding on this answer. ;)

In my case I'd say being told I'm an "all the way" kind of girl would most certainly be worse!!! Okay, you were hoping maybe for a more philosophical and less individualized response? I'll try to think of one, but in the meantime... I'm first again!! woohoo!!!!
I really have no clue how to respond to the "all the way" kind of girl, but ain't nothing wrong with an interesting face. So my answer would have to be: either to be called "Junoesque", or to be told you have "that hard Joburg edge".
Not to make this all about me or anything.
A gal walks into a room full of her friends. She has a fresh haircut. Her friend looks at her and says, "your hair looks interesting!"
That's not a compliment. Same goes for faces. I'd say being called an "all-the-way" kind of girl is flattering. I'd say that if I was a girl.
And now that I've secured my spot in first place with a very hastily typed quip, I'll do what I can to give you a serious reply. (Or is this not the proper place for seriousness, come to think of it?) Maybe an email is more in order. Still, being told I'm ANY kind of girl would be grounds for... there are so many kinds of pain it's hard to decide! And by the way, how do you expect to ever break your comment record if you keep typing up new posts? (Okay, so maybe I'm just hoping you'll read my last post on the previous blog entry. ;P lol) Argh, I know I'm not helping any, am I? Alright. How did this debate between what's worse actually come up? Did anyone actually CALL you either of those two things? Ah crap, Glo! Now I'm actually thinking seriously! Trust you to ruin everything for me! phooey! *storms away in mock outrage*
i think the second is worse. i don't know why...
Well purely based on the lines and nothing else (like in reference to, situation, tone of voice etc.) I'd say A is better that b. B sounds kinda slutty (taken without context) or that you try too hard. On the other hand A could be really insulting if you'd spent a long time getting beautiful and someone comes along and says that.
Having an "interesting face" to me says that you have character. I love to look at an interesting face....more to look at and ponder. To say that one is an "all the way girl" could mean that you never leave a job undone and you take pride in finishing tasks that you have committed to undertaking. Now on the other hand, an "interesting face" could mean that it would look great on a Picasso painting. And an "all the way girl" could mean your a slut. If I had to choose how I would prefer to be insulted....I would definitely be more insulted by being an "all the way girl". I am no slut, and that is how I would take it personally. I guess it all depends on what context it was taken.....Good luck with this friendship and I hope that both parties can take a step back and realize why you are friends.....Obviously, if you are worried with whether or not this will make or break your friendship, you really do care about this person and hope that things were not taken wrong. All too often feelings get hurt when taken out of context....I luv ya girl and I hope things work out!!!
Interesting face - b/c when you say interesting you say that instead of what you're really thinking.
That said, I seriously doubt you have an "interesting" face, G.Lo, they're just jealous b/c you're an "all the way" kind of girl (which I don't think is bad at all).
I think being told you're an "all the way" kind of girl is worse...just call me a slut buddy, no need to sugarcoat it! (Not me personally...what with the whole marriage thing and also...ew...random boys, no thank you)
Well if you are comparing the 2 statements based on something 2 different guys said to you, then don't go out with either of them! Otherwise, I don't see a purpose in seeing which is worse except to make your minions rack their brains for you. Oh your horrible Glo!
...(Forgive me your highness!)
Last night, blogger ate a comment telling everyone that this is a *huge* inside joke. I used the word *interesting* and then purposefully misinterpreted his description of me.
Our friendship is fine...thanks for your input, though. You've proved my point nicely!
They're both awful...but interesting face would depend on how it was said...if someone is caressing your face lovingly, that would be one thing :)
Hmm..."interesting face" is right up there with saying, "oh...how precious" about a new baby - since most people tend to say, "Oh he's/she's sooooooooo cute." - "Interesting face" might as well be considered "not all that cute", or "I used interesting for lack of a better word."
Now..."all-the-way" kind of girl bothers me more...basically, someone is calling you a hoe! (and not of the garden variety). I'd rather be called ugly than be called a hoe! HAHAHA...but that's just me!
I'd rather have an interesting face.
