How Well Do You Know Glo?
----Now with answers ----
So, a little blog buddy of mine suggested that I make up a "What do you know?" quiz. I thought about it. Really. But then I realized that would include work, research, and lots of insight that I just wasn't prepared to do. Lucky for me, Amber posted this little interview thing and I had a brilliant idea. Why not let my readers answer for me? So, read the questions, make up answers you think apply to me, and we will all have a little laugh.
This test is not graded. Answer as few or as many questions as you'd like. If anyone gets really close to truth, I'll give them the prize of their choosing....and I will post my own answers to the questions in the next few days.
Here are your questions:
1) If you made a movie what is it about, who is in it and why? (This should be easy enough for even the Glo novice.)
Errr. Do you guys really read this blog or just jump to the comments? Cate and I announced last week our plans for a certain TV show upon which all our London hopes are pinned. So, of course, the film would be the movie version of 21 Things starring Amy Acker and Kate Isitt.
2) If you were suddenly unable to see one colour what would it be and why?
This green. I don't like this color. Seems so silly. Not green. Not yellow. Not anything. I could live without this color.
3) Pick 2 celebriities (tv, movies, music, politics, writers etc). Now which one lives, which one dies, how and why?
I can't kill anybody. Sorry. Seems so awful. I liked the James Marsters v. Sean Bean idea just because it would make for good comedy, but only if they both lived. Sean and Cate could get married, and I could help James realize he was too good for the harpy he married.
4) If your life was a video game which one would it be and why?
Does As The World Turns have a play-along version? If not, then probably MarioKart because I'm an absolutely horrific driver. At least I drive badly at a high rate of speed.
5) You've got your 15 minutes of fame - what did you do to get it?
I started a blog that attracted some exceptionally interesting people who attracted more people, who somehow thought I was cool. It's amazing (and terrifying).
6) If you're dead on, what prize do you choose?
I have already rewarded myself with niece and nephew time. I can't believe I'm so clever as to know myself. (Honorable mention to all who chose to be so brave as to guess at what I'm thinking.)
THE RULZ: If other bloggers want to be interviewed, you must interview them if they ask you by:
1. Leaving you a comment saying 'interview me please'
2. You will respond by asking them five questions on their blog
3. They will update their blog/site with the answers to the questions
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions
Let me know if you feel the urge to play this silly little game...

I'm running out the door to go camping (yay!) but wanted to let you know that I'm still here, still reading, still a major Glo fan...I'll have to post a response when I get home!
Have a great weekend! (it's a 3 day weekend for me...go Pioneer Day!)
1) james marsters would play a smack-talking physician with a thing for dietitians. your characters would unite to save the world.
2) blue? no idea
3) ginny weasley vs. rory gilmore. winner: ginny. sure rory's pretty sharp, but gin's a quick draw.
4) legend of zelda. i think everybody's life is like legend of zelda.
5) wrote a book about flirting
6) i'm aware of how slim my chances are, but i gave it a whirl despite being so out of it. no idea what i'd want, but that omar praise post looked pretty sweet.
was dem's comment a work of the monkeys taking over super fabulous blogs? I had to wonder.
1. James Marsters?? I read your previous post. I love him too.
2. red. that was the first colour off the top of my head.
I'd continue, but I'm getting scared. I know nothing!! nothing that can apply here anyway. did you know that....oh, why bother? I'm going to wait patiently for the answers.
Wow. You guys are frighteningly close....okay, so not so much. But I am definitely getting the laughs I wanted when I posted this. I've decided to give into my love of comments and just post things I want you guys to comment on...
These are all...well, not lies exactly, because that would imply I knew what the truth was to begin with...
1. James Marsters and glo. You spend the entire movie making sweet, passionate love, interspersed with some bitchy ex-wife ass-whooping.
2. Tartan*.
3. Sean Bean vs. James Marsters, because I enjoy pitting friends against one another. Obviously James lives, because as a good a swordsman Boromir is, he is no match for Spike's Omar-level cutting edge coolness. Death by witticsm.
4. Grand Theft Auto. Not only is it the only video game I know of, it also applies to your life, glo. Because of all the sex and violence, you see.
5. You called James Marsters wife a bitch. And then you seduced him and killed her**.
6. Glo's mind-boggling writing abilities.
*Which, I am aware, is not a color. Just felt like spreading my temporary anti-Scottish sentiment.
**In keeping with the sex and violence to be had. By you.
Thanks for linking me! And for listing me as Dia*.
*'Her' in Malay. :)
1) It would be a documentary about the effects of poor eating habits, narrated by James Earl Jones (because if you're making a documentary and it needs narration, there's no other logical choice).
2) Yellow. Because then everything would seem to GLOw. Get it? GLOw?
4) LawnTerror 1.0, because sometimes you feel like you're just spinning endlessly. And becaue it's an AWESOME game.
5) I like Nadia's answer for this, i couldn't come up with anything more creative.
6) An all-expense paid trip to the Snake River Stampede
1) I'm going to take a slightly different route than other commenters. Your movie would be about an uber-fabulous Mormon woman looking for love in all the wrong places. Just when she thinks that she is socially inept and is ready to give up and adopt 9 cats, she meets Ted (played by Colin Firth) a charming young dentist who also happens to be down and out on love. The two run into each other at the health food store, when they try to buy the same bag of (healthy, dark) chocolate. They decide to split the chocolate over a latte, the latte turns into dinner, which turns into an uncharacteristically passionate night, after which the two know they are meant for each other. They spend a whirlwind 3 months together, survive a disasterous trip to Colorado, and he proposes in front of the fireplace.
2) Fire engine red. It's a passionate, fiesty color.
3)I'm going to pitt Omar (celebrity status blogger) and Taye Diggs. Taye couldn't handle the pressure of playing Omar in 21 things. He decided once and for all to try and prove that he was smarter and more handsome than Omar. Needless to say, Omar only had to blog about Taye once, and thousands of readers egged Taye's house and forced him to move to Antarctica, where he was fatally attacked by wild penguins.
4) John Madden Football. Do I really need to say more than: lots of strong men in tight pants at your disposal?
5) The one time you decide to sunbathe topless on a private beach, there happen to be paparazzi there looking for Jennifer Aniston - they photograph you instead.
6) Clearly I would like a tropical vacation, but would settle for an autograph. :D
The things one will do for a link to his blog...
1)a movie about two rappers who never write, never sample, and Never LIE...They Only freestyle about their own personal lives, yet they can't get a record deal. Oh the irony
2)Orange, It makes my head want to explode, I close my eyes when I drink OK even.
3)I would rather pick 2 celebs that got a heart and donated all of their excess $$ to charities
4)Need for Speed, cuz I have to take defensive driving before October or I lose my license.
5)Got a book of my poetry published
6)Cash, liquidity is underestimated.
MEP's answers had better win something, because they're fantastic. Answer #1 sounds like she gave it good thought, #3 is simply brilliant, in #4 she mentioned the Madden series, and #5 involved topless sunbathing. Give the girl a prize, glo. She's earned it.
And then there are some idiots like me who clearly can't follow instructions...
Not idots, domite. You'll note that several others answered the quiz according to themselves instead of according to G.Lo.
Omar's onto something G.Lo . . .
Anti-Scottish sentiment? Killing off Sean Bean? I'm shocked. Shocked and saddened. Speechless with the shock and sadness.
Cate - So sorry! All that was written in obvious disregard for your feelings. It's just one Scottish person I'm annoyed at, and I love Sean Bean, I do! (But I'm no competition for you.) Be speechful again, I implore you.
Glo - mep must win!
demos - Point well and truly taken.
Sometimes I love to disappear and watch where you guys go. It's really half the fun of blogging.
MEP is close, but there are some points off for doctrinal inaccuracy...but as she is about the only one of you able to step outside yourselves for a moments, she may get the big prize.
Welcome Domite! Stick around!
Wow. I just passed 8000 page loads. That almost 3x the size of my home town. Incredible. So many people have been bored by me, it's practically an epidemic.
Your brother sounds awesome. Replace 'bored' with 'delighted' and you're 1000 times closer to the truth.
:)
you've got a gem there, glo.
little brothers are the best. sure they're annoying for a few years, but later they can use all that information they got spying on you to be a hell of a great friend. plus, they're the only ones who can truly understand your point of view on the family.
Not to rain on your page-load parade glo, but at least 2000 of those hits are from cate. Plus about 4000 from me. Assuming around 1800 are from you, that leaves only 200 or so hits that are unaccounted for.
Amazing brother. Lucky you to have him. Very sorry to hear of your balcony moment, though. There are voices throughout the blogosphere cheering you on (that is, not on the balcony, off the balcony, *away* from the edge) - try to keep that in mind.
Omar sucks. Baby brother amazing.
I have backed off a few inches from the balcony. Don't worry. There's a protective grate that keeps me from doing anything stupid. I merely dangle a leg over every so often and call for support.
Answers to these questions tonight!
I love the answers...you are so funny. I never did post my answers but I know I wouldn't have even been close to the mark :)
Oh and Omar, a lot of those page loads are from me...I'll admit not as much lately as I'd like...I am having withdrawl symptoms and hope to be treated soon!
glo - Ha, I'm so far off I should be giving you a prize. I have no nephews or nieces, could I interest you in some cousins?
I do feel the urge to be interviewed, but after having read your comments, I'm afraid of the type of answers it might yield...
wow, if you couldn't see that green, what would my blog look like to you? gray? weird.
i'd be down for the interview. are they new questions?
Wow, I was really close on all of these. What? Not here? You mean blogger ate my comment AGAIN?
D'Oh!
Interview me, please? I must admit to being unsure how this works - are you going to ask me five questions now?
I absolutely misread question #2. My bad. I would have gotten it right if only I could read.
And why do I suck? You're the one who told everyone about how I visit your site at least 100 times daily. At least.
Yeah, I totally missed question #2 as well. I thought you were only going to be able to see one color, and it could be red.
My other answers weren't so close either, perhaps a bit racy. My apologies, G.Lo.
You could interview me and let other people do the same to me. . . guess and be totally off. :) want to?
I waited patiently! and I like the answers. I was going to say 21 things, but that involved Cate, and I thought you wanted a movie that just involved you and everyone was harping on about james marsters (may he never marry a worthless harpy) so yeah. peer pressure, dudes.
MEP shoulda won. she had me at colin firth playing a guy named ted. and fire engine red, cos i answered red too!
I have no niece and nephews as of yet, but I'm more than happy to offer a 5 year old and a 3 year old for your disposal. whether or not they are my little sisters, well...no comment.
Certainly everyone deserves a prize. I like MEP, too, and all that was requested was an autograph, so submit your name and addresses and i will send out color photos of a beautiful woman bearing my signature.
However, as Dem offered a date, and I am currently without one for the romantic festival, I proclaim him the big winner of the Know Glo contest! (Mind if I claim my prize August 12th??)
reveal your source. who is this blog buddy?
