The Generation Gap

Some sibs and I had dinner together last night. After dinner, we were sitting around chatting while my sister's kids played. My Philosopher has grown quite weary of wisdom, so he has resorted to more typical kid games - or so we thought.

Phil: (to his mom) Captain! Come quick! You've got to see this!

Sis: Yes, soldier?

Phil: (clapping forhead) It's a submarine. I'm not a soldier.

Sis: Oops. Sorry. Yes, lieutenant?

Phil: There's a shark following the sub!

Sis: What do we care about a shark?! It's a submarine!

Phil: Well...there's just one problem....

Sis: Yes?

Phil: The submarine is made out of fish food.

Sis: What?! A sub made of fish food! That's a terrible idea.

Phil: (sadly) Well, you built it.

So, there it is. My sister shouldn't be trusted to build submarines. I thought her capable of anything, but My Philosopher has spoken.

Fish food. Who ever heard of such a thing?!

That's so cute! Too bad about the submarine though. Poor kid, did he make it out alive? Or, for that matter, you're sister leave with an unscathed ego?

Fish food good for many types of eats. Including shark eats.

They survived with some help from violence. Poor shark. My sis, however, has given up her dreams of naval engineering ;)

There's a dark prescience lurking in a sub made of fish food.

Ok having boys around just ROCKS!
Mine has a new girlfriend...his 3rd and he's only 8! Heaven help us when he's old enough to actually date...yikes!

I always love to see what kids (especially boys) come up with in their minds...
