Vacation Memories #2

Ode to The Great Wall of Chocolate

Oh! Chocolate!
Lovely chocolate!

Chocolate on plates.
Chocolate on mates.
No chocolate I hates.

The chocolate supreme.
The king I do deem
By PF Chang it seem.

Oh chocolate cake!
Oh chocolate cake!

1800 Calories of pure decadence. Thank you, PF Chang. I thought your mango chicken was near perfection, but then you proved me imbecilic by providing this taste concoction. The exact blend of sweet and sour that balanced the strong chocolate. It was a flavor explosion, to borrow my favorite mostly nonsensical food description.

In other news, I am off on a business trip for 4 days. I’ll have Internet access, so I plan to check in on you all. Thus far, I’ve been invited to THREE gourmet dinners to “whine and dine” the company. Sheesh. This new job makes me feel really important.

So, I’ll be back on Sunday nice and fattened up….oh, crap. Just remembered I’m a dietitian representing my company. Never mind. I’ll be back on Sunday nice and saladed up. Maybe I’ll try a bite of sorbet. Oh, well. I’ll bet the ambience will be amazing!

Wow. Dining out while on dietician duty. The PAIN.

OH YUM!

And remember, if it's dark chocolate, it has anti-oxident properties which are good for you.

So chase away guilt when you eat it! Uh, well, correct me if I'm wrong. You're the dietitian!

Sounds like a first-rate conflict of interest. Best to ignore any negative thoughts; you're biased, after all.

Suggest many small portions.

Have you tried those betty crocker warm delights?! I can feel my arteries getting clogged as I eat them! Yumm

Is big diremma...how do I represent myself and my profession while enjoying decadence? Will the reps notice the 3,000 "small portions" that add up to one huge meal?

Ah, well...stay tuned for details!

(and must try the warm delights)

no MNF footbal qutoes?..... as for desserts... Mile High Mud Pie at Humperdinks... no man can handle it alone.

ooooo....I can see a challenge in that statement, JM....

MNF quote in post below. Madden waxed poetic on fashion. Cracked me up. The game was pretty good, too, although high scoring, so I guess both teams need some defense practice...which reminds me of this convo with Roomie:

Roomie: So, you're like way into football.

Me: Am I? I just like MNF and Madden, mostly.

Roomie: And Sunday games, and Saturday games are always on while you clean.

Me: Really? Wow. I didn't realize. I guess I watch football. I had no idea. I wonder if I'll watch other sports.

Roomie then went to bed, convinced I am crazy.

"Well you could lower a rope or a branch or find something useful to do." Like, emailing your favorite cave troll, for instance? Just a thought! =) But alas, I feel the blame falls partly on us for not worshipfully posting quite as often as our duty requires us. It's just... that I have little to say about chocolate. I'm not a chocoholic myself (put down the torches and pitchforks, people...) but I do know it has its uses! I'm just not a seasoned speaker on every subject. Hm, let's see how long I can keep rambling to take up space here, huh? Well, I need to rest for a bit, then try again. Cheers!

Syar said...

Justin Kreutzmann said...

never knew chocolate got such a strong reaction!...

glo said...

grendel - lol! You always crack me up!

lianne - sorry about the bad day, but that word verification must have brightened your day.

Syar...Oops! How insensitive! i forgot it's fasting month! So sorry to place chocolate in your path!

Justin- thanks for stopping by! Now allow me to reciprocate.

See...that comment padding got me to double digits. I'm much happier now.
